I know this article is way off topic of what I normally bring to the table but, it is something I believe should be on everyones table 
! With the Holidays quickly approaching, we all start to pull out the good old Family recipes that have been in our Families for generations. I often like to create a new recipe to my collection and add another traditional dish/dessert. This particular recipe that I would like to share with you, I conjured up back in the early 80′s but changed it up a bit a couple of years ago. Now that I have a little Granddaughter, I thought it be fitting to add a little more sweetness to this delectable dessert, its all of her favorite little sweets, I call this recipe:
Adysons Dreamy Creamy cupcakes
Ingredients
* 1 ½ cups flour
* 1 1/3 cup sugar
* 1 cup powdered sugar
* 24 ounces cream cheese
* ¼ cup cocoa
* 5/8 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 cup water
* 1/3 cup vegetable oil
* 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
* 12 muffin cups
* 1 beaten egg
* 1 ½ cups strawberries diced
* 12 whole strawberries – fanned out
* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
Bottoms
Mix all the below together
* 1 ½ cups flour
* 1 cup sugar
* ¼ cup cocoa
* ½ teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 cup water
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1/3 cup oil
Filling
Mix all the below together
* 8 ounces cream cheese slightly beaten
* 1 beaten egg
* 1/3 cup sugar
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
* ¾ cup diced fresh strawberries
Frosting
Mix all the below together
* 16 ounces softened cream cheese – whip it;-)
* 1 cup powdered sugar
* Fold into whipped cream cheese~¾ cup diced strawberries
* frost top of cooled cupcakes
Preheat oven 350* -
* fill cupcake pan ¾ each with bottom mixture
* then add a tablespoon of filling in center.
* Bake for 20 minutes –
* cool 10 before frosting
Garnish with strawberries fanned out (for demo of how to fan a strawberry just watch my video below ~
Serve with a very tall glass of Ice cold milk….mmm mmm good!

Are you guilty of procrastinating? I can bet my last coin you are, after all, we are only human.
I ran across this cute little video that I am confident, many of you will say “WOW, thats me!”
I am sure you got a kick out of that cute video and think to yourself,
NO MORE PROCRASTINATING FOR ME!!!!
Here is the definition of procrastinate:

Did you see a little bit of yourself in that definition? I know I did, even though I preach to my Children:
“Don’t put off tomorrow what you can get done today.”
Most of us must put together a daily, weekly or a monthly to-do list to assure we get the important things done in our lives. In todays world everyone seems to be running in a race ahead of each other and that tends to create a craziness in our lives that prevents us from staying focused and straight lined, therefore, all these little things (to-do’s) have to be written down or else, and yes that is you and me, we forget!
Some people use sticky notes and have them plastered all over their desk and wall. Some use a daily planner, I personally love to use the Google Calender. I get a friendly reminder e-mail every morning and it has every little thing I must do down to when to take a break and eat. Many of us in the Network Marketing Industry can get completely lost in our computer while we are working our business and need bells, whistles or chimes to snap us out of the abyss. Here are 3 pretty nifty online productivity tools that can be your new best friend or at least a close second [FYI-these have all been mentioned in Tim Ferris’ No.1 New York Times best seller ‘The 4-Hour Work Week’ ]
1. This tool doesn’t get any easier than this, E.GGTIMER is no more or less than a free online egg timer.
a. set a time limit for something
b. split your time between multiple important tasks
Set the e.ggtimer. Here’s how it works:
#1 Type in the e.ggtimer URL followed by a time, for example:
http://e.ggtimer.com/15 minutes
http://e.ggtimer.com/1 hour 30 minutes
http://e.ggtimer.com/1 year 1 day 23 hours 5 minutes 17 seconds (spacing is imperative)
#2 Once you have set your timers for your tasks, leave the tab open while you begin your task at hand whether it be a call, blog, e-mails, etc.,knowing that the time you set will alert you with a BEEP and that is when you STOP what you are doing and now time to move onto your next task! The days of looking down to the right of your computer to see the time & try to remember what time you started.
2. Many of us believe we are serious about productivity, however, with so many senseless distractions, we DO lose alot of time. This tool : RESCUETIME can actually give you nearly 4 hours of what once was wasted time to productive time per week, it may not seem like much time lost but it is money lost from non productivity, therefore by using this online tool, the time management and analytics tools will help you to be more efficient and productive.
3. LeechBlock is a simple productivity tool designed to block those time-wasting sites that can suck the life out of your working day. (You know: the ones that rhyme with ‘Blue Cube’, ‘Pie Face’, ‘Space Hook’, ‘Hash Pot’, ‘Sticky Media’, and the like.) All you need to do is specify which sites to block and when to block them.
You can specify up to six sets of sites to block, with different times and days for each set. You can block sites within fixed time periods (e.g., between 9am and 5pm), after a time limit (e.g., 10 minutes in every hour), or with a combination of time periods and time limit (e.g., 10 minutes in every hour between 9am and 5pm). You can also set a password for access to the extension options, just to slow you down in moments of weakness!
The sites to block can be specified using wildcards (e.g., *.somesite.com) and exceptions (e.g., +allowme.somesite.com).
LeechBlock also keeps track of the total amount of time you have spent browsing the sites in each block set.

I have simplified the procrastinating process with this simple step:
1. prioritize your to-do’s
I know it seems so simple but its not really, sticking to it can be tricky especially when we are constantly distracted throughout our day. My recommendation, this may sound silly but it does work, treat yourself to something once you have completed a handful of tasks, Whether it be:
1. walk in the park
2. a tv/movie show you enjoy watching
3. a Wii workout
4. a chocolate bar
5. a bike ride
Well, you have the idea, reward yourself, you will get a lot more done in a day with greater results!

How conditioned are you? Are you running in the Network Marketing Marathon?
I often speak to people that have JUST started in the Network Marketing Industry and cannot understand why they did not make ANY money in their first month. Really !?! This is then when I ask them, “Have you ever worked for a company and get promoted to a higher position in your first month?” Of course their answer is, “No.” I then ask them, “And why is that?” their response, “Well, I just started there, it takes time to get a promotion.” my response, “Exactly, same goes for the Network Marketing Industry.”
Unfortunately, the majority of people out there truly believe that having a home based business is a dream job where you:
1. work your own hours
2. have no commute
3. have great tax advantages
4. can work in your pj’s
5. take breaks whenever you want
6. eat at your desk
7. your computer turns into an ATM
WELL, guess what?, they are 100% correct, BUT you have to work, that’s right WORK to be able to have a successful Home Based Business. Sadly, most people think its easy street starting up a home based business, well Folks, this is not easy street and the marathon of building your business is intense training and consistent work ethics. Most people do not have what it takes to get through the training and will never get to the finish line, simply because they did not condition themselves properly for the race.
As the old saying goes:
“Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.”
So, here is how you can get physically and mentally conditioned for the Network Marketing Marathon whether you are a seasoned network marketer or a newbie:
1. have a good, healthy breakfast
2. write down your daily affirmations
3. look for trainings that apply to your business, stay educated
4. advertise your business online
5. talk to people online and offline
6. take a break and meditate
7. have a good, healthy lunch
8. make a video for your video marketing, its huge now!
9. on your social networks, friend some new people everyday and build those relationships
10. write an article for your blog
11. take some time and read a chapter or two from a motivational, inspirational, educational
book that has to do with Network Marketing and your business
12. break time – have a good healthy dinner
13. attend any trainings that will keep you one step ahead of your competition
14. address your daily e-mails and phone calls
15. make your TO-DO list for tomorrow
Well that’s about it, you may have some other nuggets that keep you in the game of Network Marketing, bottom line is to stay focused, positive and you will see your
business grow at an even pace for success.

These Six Key Steps are VITAL For Success
1. Make Your Decision ~ throughout my Childrens life I have taught them to find something THEY love to do, find a way to get paid doing it and consequently, they will NEVERwork a day in their life. I didn’t care what it was, flip burgers, CEO of a Fortune 500, be a stay at home Mom BUT make it legal !!! You would be shocked to know how many people loathe what they do, I believe it is upwards of 87%. WOW, how sad is that? Please do not be one of the 87%,make your decision on what your true passion is and GO FOR IT!
2. Clarity of Your Vision ~ Now that you have made YOUR decision on what it is you want, have a very clear idea of what it is you want to achieve while putting all the pieces of the puzzle together. While you are doing your research, your passion WILL grow stronger and so much more visible that it will look like a painting on a canvas come to life.
3. Focus ~ Now this could be the hardest step of all, reason being that, there may be people in your life that will:
a. discourage you
2. make fun of you
3. belittle you
4. not support you
therefore, you MUST put on the blinders and focus on the prize, YOUR Dream, YOUR passion.
May the force be with you!
4. Commitment ~ I love this one! Although it can be difficult to stay committed, this is the step that WILL get you where you want to be. By staying committed everyday,you will actually see and feel your passion come to life. It may be a slow process but the rewards are bountiful and your inner self will feel jubilant. I have found that setting a certain time of day aside, whether it be 15 minutes, an hour, whatever time you set, definitely helps with staying committed.
5. Belief ~ I look at this one as “The Pretty One” because when you close your eyes and KNOW that this is real and its all yours, the smile on your face is simply breath taking. All along you knew and believed in your passion regardless of what it took to get there. It appears that everything you think about, talk about and dream about is exactly that, believing in your passion. I actually listen to a 20 minute audio everyday: Manifestation Meditation , that has completely having me where I want to be in my life.
6. Take Action ~ This is the true test if you really want to succeed. You have steps 1-5 in place now put them into 5th gear and burn rubber, only you can do it. Know that nothing can stop you but YOU!

Network Marketing is all about networking, correct? So, what
better place than to meet people and network. It is great
for personally socializing and of course business.
Just this past week I went to http://meetup.com and setup
my very first Meetup Group:
S.E.B.B. = Savvy Empowered Baby Boomers
is the name of my Group.
I am looking to help people in the Baby Boomer age group. So
many Baby Boomers are approaching retirement or are already
living it. Well, lets think about that for a moment…are the retired
Baby Boomers really living it? Or are they struggling on a daily basis?
Sadly, so many retired people are struggling to the point they have HAD
to go back to work. Their Social Security checks (an average of less than $500.00 a month)
are just not cutting it with the rising costs of just about everything, many have virtually
zilch left in their retirement funds and then to hoot, many have HAD
to move in with their Children. I have no problem with someone WANTING
to go back to work or even moving back with their Children, BUT, when
us Baby Boomers are basically forced too, that just breaks my heart.
I have learned so much throughout my Network Marketing career and intend
to educate as many Baby Boomers as I possibly can where they can generate
a reasonable source of income on the internet and hey, even offline, simply
by networking. My knowledge of video marketing, social forum marketing,
article marketing, advertising, youtube, myspace, oh the list goes on.
My mission will be to gather Baby Boomers on a weekly basis in a local restaurant,
laugh a little, learn a little and probably talk about the groovy days and boy,
where they ever so groovy!
So do yourself a favor my Friend, if you are a Network Marketer, form a Meetup Group,
find a niche you can tap into and get to know people, their needs, their wants and
before you know it, voila’ YOU have now taken your business to another realm.

Finally 4 proven ways to fail at Network Marketing has
been revealed. Who really needs to learn how to succeed
in promoting your Business Opportunity, there are plenty
of articles, capture pages, blogs, etc on convincing you
how to make it in this industry. Its time to get down and
dirty on how to master the 4 proven ways to fail or possibly
learn a little bit about yourself in these 4 steps.
1. Buy leads and build relationships on social forums
a. This just may be my favorite of all, here’s why. When you purchase
those LEADS that people have requested more information about a
home based business, do NOT call them by any stretch of the means.
Why you ask, because they want what you have and you will NEVER share that
information simply because you dare to have someone duplicate your business.
How dare they!
b. Sign up for every social media on the internet and request everyone to be your friend.
Now, work diligently on getting to know ALL of them sharing common interests, favorite
foods, how many kids, etc. Ok, now this is the critical part on making sure you fail at this
technique, when they ask you what you do, do NOT speak, write, respond in any way shape or
form. If you do, well all I have to say is that you may have sadly made a sale, you DO NOT want
this to happen, I repeat you do NOT want this to happen. If you do then you will have succeeded
and you are looking to fail, remember?
2. Convince yourself that you have the worst warm market in the universe.
a.This is most likely the most crucial step you must start with.
Being that everyone has a warm market, make it very clear to
everyone that your warm market is burnt, this will guarantee
your failure. You see, when you talk to your warm market, you
take the chance of stealing people away from the ones that crave
success. This step is NOT for people with courage, it takes complete
commitment to bypass every channel to success.
3. Stay clear of prospecting otherwise you WILL make money, plain and simple.
a.This is one technique that takes effort, being on or offline. You
risk the chance that someone wants you to tell them about your business,
this is a BIG No-No, we don’t want that.
b.When you hand out your business cards, marketing materials, etc. set up
a firm phone appointment or a belly-belly appointment. It is crucial NOT to
call or meet them this will show weakness on your part that you want to
be a success.
4. Stay very focused on studying
a. We have all been told the importance of staying one step ahead of our competition,
RED ALERT, RED ALERT. What you need to do here is purchase every possible book, cd, dvd
that has to do with: motivation, inspiration, SEO, How to Blog, Video marketing, article
writing, how to this, how to that, etc. After you have spent 60+ hours a week reading,
watching and listening to them all,put them on a pretty shelf preferably behind your desk
so you do not have to see them anymore, after all you know it all now and do
not want to apply this knowledge to prospects, once again you risk the chance of making a sale.
They are best when they are covered in dust.
Waiver
In my heart of hearts I am convinced these steps if followed through properly will put you in the FAILURE Spotlight considering you are not seeking success. For those of you that have read this and are seeking success, just do the complete opposite of everything I discussed here, because you will then succeed.

Home Based Business vs. J.O.B.

Home Based Business vs. J.O.B. is probably one of the biggest dilemmas a person is emotionally challenged with as far as their career choices. Being that I have been an Entrepreneur the majority of my life, I know first hand the freedom I have of being my own boss. I had tried the corporate world and it really did not resonate well with me, but that’s me, I guess you could say I am “UNEMPLOYABLE.” Funny thing is while I was in the corporate world, I was running small little side businesses, not so much for the income but for the passion I have for entrepreneurship. It amazes me how many people are not cut out for this “Be Your Own Boss” career and I am convinced it has to do with the years of conditioning from generations of being told what they need to do with their life:
1. go to school and get a good education
2. get a job for what you were educated in
3. work the required 35-40+ hours a week for 35-40 years
4. retire and enjoy life
Well you know what, that theory may have worked back 50-60 years ago but not anymore. Its just like technology and medicine, it grows, improves and changes. People that are locked in that mentality MUST open their minds to change and improvement. Please do not misunderstand me, not everyone is cut out to be their own boss and I strongly believe its because they do not have the confidence or discipline to carry it out. It does take alot of discipline to work your own business. There have been times throughout my career as an Entrepreneur that I said, it is so much easier working a 9-5 J.O.B. than build my own business, however, its MY Business I am building, NOT someone elses. I determine my pay check NOT someone else. Let me ask you a few of questions and be honest with your answers to yourself:
1. Do you feel you get paid for what you are worth?
2. Do you feel appreciated by your Boss/Company
3. Do you feel you are paying to have a J.O.B.? (Traveling exp, car exp., uniforms, suits, etc)
Most people will answer that they are underpaid, under appreciated and yes paying to have a job, to me that is so sad.
When I speak to people about starting up a home based business, I am adamant about them not quitting their current job if they have one until they have built their business to where in equals or is greater than their current pay. I also have them keep records on their business expenses because unlike working for someone else, having your own business has many perks and great tax benefits. So if you have to travel somewhere for your business, you can use that as a tax write off, can you do that with a job, NO you cannot. The list goes on with tax benefits, too long to list here.
So, Home Based Business vs. J.O.B. ? Only you can answer that but I would suggest to at least make an effort and give it your all to be your own boss, the rewards are infinite.

Facebook is the leading cause of an abundance of free leads , and you ask “How is that possible, I only have XXXX friends.
Well the truth of the matter is quite simple:
1. there are nearly 500 million active Facebook users
2. 50% of those 500 million log in everyday
3. Facebook is open in 150 countries
4. the average age is 35 years young
5. nearly 65 million of Facebook members access through their cell phone
6. upwards of 45 million Facebook users join Groups and network in
so you see how many new people you can friend? Of course you do, however,
be select with who you want to be your friend. They say you can friend 20-30
people a day on Facebook to stay on the safe side of not getting shut down by
FB ! Here is my opinion from experience:
1. look for people that have like interests, read their profile:
a. have children
b. love animals
c. network marketer
d. share same hobbies
Well you have the idea.
2. break up the 20 a day throughout your day, say 5 one hour,
wait a couple of hours then friend another five and so on till
you have reached 20
3. once you start getting these people to accept your friend request,
get to know them, build a relationship, do NOT, I repeat do NOT talk
about your business right off the bat, it is a HUGE turn off and quite
frankly, it shows desperation on your part. You want to develop a trust
before you EVER talk business, unless of course they ask you exactly
what you do, there’s your green light !
4. be true to yourself, it will show in your communications with people and
should you actually speak to them on the phone, smile when you talk to
them, fact is, people can hear a smile .

Let me show you why Network Marketing extinguishes The Four Major anxieties of Starting Your Own Business and why you should open your mind and explore your options.
First off, let me ask a simple question. If you have NEVER been in your own business, online or offline, what is your fear of wanting to be your own boss?
You are not alone with the fears but let me tell you, the following will most likely convert your feelings.
Imagine all the barricades were taken away, would you then consider starting your own business?
Amazingly, a survey of several thousand people who had always worked for someone else, 85% said they would rather work for themselves.
Lets face it, if your concerns about starting your own business never existed, then you would have no fear of doing so, right?
In my opinion, why wouldn’t everyone want to be in control of their own life, their own paycheck and my all time favorite, work their own hours ! Oh my, what a concept.
So lets breakdown the four most common fears that literally STOP people
from controlling their own life.
1. I do NOT have the capital to invest in a business venture, it just costs way too much.
2. I do NOT have 80 hours a week to build a business and have to wait 1-2 years to see results.
3. I do NOT want to take the risk of being the majority that fails.
4. I do NOT have the knowledge and or experience on running my own business,after all don’t all business owners have to know:
1. accounting
2. taxes
3. marketing
4. sales expertise
Sadly, most people wished they had started their own business when they were younger but now that they have the responsibilities of Family, mortgage and a few mouths to feed they feel its not a possible reality for them.
With that all being said, if I could show you a way to start your very own business for:
1. under $100.00
2. work for 5-15 hours a week
3. stay at your present job until your business income = your current paycheck
4. continual mentoring, training and support for free
would that pique your interest? Of course it would. By the way, there is no catch.
There are several companies out there that WILL tell you:
1. you never have to really work
2. you will make millions in your first 3 minutes
3. there will NEVER be any extra costs
Truth is, Network Marketing is hard work, however, the results are very rewarding.
As E.F. Hutton once quoted:
” We make money the old-fashioned way, we earn it!”
Hey, if you find a business that makes you millions in your first 3 minutes…please feel free to share, we would all love to know about it . On a more serious note, RUN if anyone ever tells you that. It generally takes a few months to show a profit, although,some have pulled it off in as little as a month though.
Lets face it, there will always be extra costs in anything you do should you want to catapult your business.
1. you may want to expand your advertising.
2. you may want to upgrade your computer, printer, etc.
3. you just may want to hire yourself an assistant (that’s a good thing, means you are succeeding)
all of which are great tax deductions, by the way, you would NEVER get these tax deductions working for someone else, just an FYI.
Are you able to now visualize yourself financially free in 12- 36 months with not having to:
1. spend thousands of dollars
2. working it 24/7/365
3. keeping your present job during the growing stages of your business
of course you can.
Now here is a scenario that I am sure you will find humorous.
You decide to buy your very own Franchise for a mere 1 million dollars.
The business fails and you call the Corporate office and ask for a
“Return Authorization Number” so you can get your franchise fee back, plus
a reimbursement check for all the unsold stock, supplies and all the other
expenses you incurred during this venture.
Now imagine this scene in your head, there are crazy loud sirens flying past you to
resuscitate the corporate officer you spoke too about your request because he lost consciousness
from laughing so hard at you or better yet, the little white paddy wagon coming to take you away to
your very own padded room with a designer jacket that hugs you all the time.
Now, in Network Marketing that would never happen because its the law. A legitimate, legal Network Marketing company has the ability to refund a failed distributor on all product and marketing materials that can be resold, minus 10% restocking and processing fees.
Hows this for some positive reinforcement for you to ponder:
1. Donald Trump just bought a Network Marketing Company
2. Robert Kiyosaki supports the Network Marketing Industry and encourages people to get involved
3. Warren Buffet now owns Pampered Chef
Ok so there you have it! Are you still anxious, fearful,afraid, alarmed, biting nails, butterflies, concerned, disquieted, doubtful, feel in bones, foreboding, frozen, get vibes, have a hunch, have cold feet, have funny feeling, have stage fright, hung up, in a cold sweat, in a dither, in a sweat, jellyfish, jittery, jumpy, lily-livered, mistrustful, running scared, scaredy-cat, shaky, stiff, suspicious, troubled, uncertain, uneasy, uptight, weak, worried, worried sick about starting your own business in Network Marketing? Still think its too good to be true? I proposition you to find a catch.
There are two basic reasons why people have never pursued Network Marketing:
1. never knew about it
2. preconception (usually from someone you know that failed & is disgruntled OR has never been involved themselves)
Do not take on what someone elses experience in Network Marketing because they failed, decide for yourself and make your own decision based on your due diligence, which I encourage.

The importance of Mindset is key throughout your life. I was recently at a mindset seminar and throughout the day, the speaker would tell us of different stories throughout his career of people he has coached, met and became Friends with.
This particular story to me was quite inspiring for those that do NOT believe there is more to life than what has been generationally engrained in their minds their entire life, starting from childhood.
Jimmy had the traditional generation mindset. His Parents, Grandparents, and so on were butchers. So it was Jimmys destiny to become a butcher and follow in his Familys footsteps. Jimmy was working 70+ hours a week and was not making the money of what he thought he was worth. Then one day Jimmy was introduced to network marketing and thought he could definitely do this. He jumped in with both feet,bought every training kit, every seminar, every book he could get his hands on and couldn’t wait to start making it in this business!
Jimmy, read every book, watched every video, listened to all the audios and FAILED at his first network marketing venture. But being the Man that Jimmy was his passion to succeed in this industry was even stronger than ever. Long story short…Jimmy tried 17 more network marketing companies and FAILED!!!! He knew deep down to his core that if he tried just one more time, just one more, but Jimmys Wife was getting real upset with him because he had spent most of their life savings on all these ventures pursuing his dream. Now Jimmy is in his 19th network marketing company and here’s where all of his hard work, dedication,persistence and drive got him…Jimmy went on to make $400,000 a MONTH in the 19th company he tried and is the top earner! Now, Jimmy goes on the road and speaks to groups about never giving up and always having faith, even when it seems like nothing is going right. This is my absolute favorite part about Jimmys story, Jimmy was 80 years young when he was the Top Earner, simply amazing. Jimmy is now 84 and is engaged all around the world as a speaker to Network Marketing Companies.

The moral of this article is “Never give up on your dreams, NEVER.” Chances are you WILL run into heartache, frustration, tears, Friends and Family telling you you are crazy, but its your dream,
and YES you can make it realistic through perseverance, drive, passion and staying focused on the prize!
