What are your 3 positive and 3 negatives that are in your life?

0

Sometimes we have to sit back an evaluate ourselves and what is holding us back from financial success in our business. Many of you know me as the Woman that keeps giving and giving, which is a wonderful trait, however in can be to a fault, let me explain.

I have been in the network marketing industry for 5+ years and have had some success here and there. Here and there just doesn’t cut it with me anymore, I want it HERE and NOW! About 5 weeks ago I sat myself down and wrote down 3 positive and 3 negative things in my life.

POSITIVE

1. have a very supportive and AWESOME Family
2. have a great product I promote
3. work with a group of people that ALWAYS help each other

NEGATIVE

1. numb downline
2. whiney contacts
3. questioning my need to continually help the world

Obviously I have a great positive list so, no need to change anything there. As far as the negative,I HAD to stop the bleeding with the “NUMB” downline, no more bandaids on that, bah bye. As far as the whiney contacts/prospects, I will no longer allow myself to get caught in their tangled web of life, people that seek out more excuses than desires, will always be like that. Now the real BIG one, my need to continually help the world. I realized I have what I call “ACCEPTANCE ADDICTION”. Basically what that is in a few words is this: I have a constant craving to be accepted by everyone, this goes back to as far back as I can remember. I was talking to my Coach about this and he suggested I read a book called “The 4 Agreements” and all I have to say is WOW, was he right. Yes, I will always want to help people thats just how I am but I no longer have the NEED to continually do it for “The Fix.”

Now here is a little proof that ridding the negative DOES work! Recently, my Primary Business company started a Challenge for all of us. It is called The Silver Eagle Challenge where we can earn 1-2 shares of the weekly sales. I was determined to achieve the 2 shares and BAM I did it in 3 days. Life is good, and I no longer dwell on all the negative that WAS in my life just be ecstatic IT IS GONE!

If you feel stagnant in any aspect of your life, take a few minutes and write down 3 positive and 3 negative things and work on fixing the negative, you will be amazed and pleasantly surprised on how all the pieces of your life start completing the puzzle of life.

Do you believe you deserve an abundant life?

4

Do you believe you deserve an abundant life?

Well, you should believe, we ALL deserve an abundant life. Below is one of my favorite daily activities that I feel everyone should implement into their lives ~

WE ARE ABUNDANCE! Repeat DAILY & FEEL it!
1. All the things I want & need come to me.
2. I always receive more than what I need.
3. I have a bank account with more than enough.
4. I am an abundant person.
5. I create abundance in all that I say & do.
6. I accept abundance.
7. I welcome, & am open to receive all abundance that comes.
8. I draw abundance to myself today and every day.

It amazes me how many wonderful people I speak to feel they are NOT worthy or greatness, abundance and living their dreams. Of course much of this stems back to their childhood and simply do not know how to break that lack of belief. A very powerful book that I have read and highly recommend to so many people is The Valeo Method by Dr. Benny Morris is a unique and proven 21st century approach for helping people overcome their struggles with self-esteem, limiting beliefs, stress, weight challenges, toxic relationships and spiritual emptiness to name a few. Valeo is a Latin word and it means to be strong, have influence and to prevail. The power of the Valeo Method lies in its promise to reveal the dream of the soul allowing one to live a life of purpose, meaning and authenticity. If you want to Live Victoriously, The Valeo Method is your answer!

Now, ask yourself again if you believe you deserve an abundant life, I am confident I know the answer.

I know I deserve an abundant life and I was born to be great…no one can take that from me. As many of you know I have my daily rituals of bettering myself, my daily affirmations/afformations, reading empowering books, and one of my favorites is simply meditating. There are many different ways to meditate and I have tried a few and found that MANIFESTATION MEDITATING is extremely soothing and yet by far the most powerful of them all. When I am done with this 20 minute meditation, I not only know I am great, I actually see myself actually living my dreams, oh and in full color!

Robert Kiyosaki talking about why people should NOT be saving

0

Robert Kiyosaki talking about why people should NOT be saving….

In economics, inflation is a rise in the
general level of prices of goods and
services in an economy over a period
of time.

1. When the general price level rises, each unit of
currency buys fewer goods and services. Consequently,
inflation also reflects an erosion in the purchasing power
of money — a loss of real value in the internal medium
of exchange and unit of account in the economy

2. A chief measure of price inflation is the inflation rate,
the annualized percentage change in a general price
index (normally the Consumer Price Index) over time.

3. Inflation’s effects on an economy are various and can
be simultaneously positive and negative. Negative
effects of inflation include a decrease in the real value of
money and other monetary items over time, uncertainty
over future inflation may discourage investment and
savings, and high inflation may lead to shortages of
goods if consumers begin hoarding out of concern that
prices will increase in the future.

4.Positive effects include ensuring central banks can
adjust nominal interest rates (intended to mitigate
recessions) and encouraging investment in non-
monetary capital projects.

Tax Advantages of a Home-Based Business

11

Tax Advantages of a Home-Based Business

I take A LOT of pride in bringing value to peoples lives everyday whether it be on the phone, social forums, in person or through words on my blog. I must say, this article is probably my proudest piece because I know there are more people than not that really could use this knowledge.

I was at a meeting last night and was speaking with a seasoned Accountant that STRONGLY advises each of his clients to start a Home Based Business, even if they have a job. Reason being, they have a tremendous amount of tax advantages owing a Home Based Business that they would NEVER have just by working for someone else. Now hear me out, I am in no way, shape or form suggesting you quit your job, however, I do strongly advise that you get yourself a home based business.

The following information will give you a glimpse into how a simple decision of starting up a home based business can save you oodles of money, so What Kind Of Tax Advantages Do Home-Based Businesses Enjoy?

You have probably thought of many of the benefits of running your own successful home business. From the independence of working for yourself to making better income than you may currently make, there are many reasons that starting a home-based business might be right for you. One consideration that you might not have taken into account is the tax advantages that you will enjoy with a business run out of your home. Let’s take a look at these qualifying deductions, starting with the better-known ones.

The Home Office Deduction

The deduction that likely comes first to mind that home-based businesses can take advantage of is the “Home Office Deduction”. The Home Office Deduction allows you to deduct some or all of the expenses of your office at home and related expenses.

To qualify for this deduction, your home office must be the principal place where your business is done. Secondly, the office space must be used exclusively for business use to qualify. For example, if you use your kitchen as your primary workspace, it is likely that you cannot take the home office deduction, assuming that you use it for personal use as well. To be on the safe side, set aside a room as your home office where possible. This will keep you on the safe side should the home office use ever come into question.

Detailed explanations of who qualifies for the Home Office deduction are defined in detail by the IRS themselves.

Building-Related Expenses

Repairs and improvements to your home office are completely deductible. For example, painting your home office is an expense that relates directly to doing business out of your home, so it is deductible in full.

Mortgage interest is deductible as a percentage of the total mortgage paid for your home. For instance, if your home office makes up 200 square feet of your home’s 2,000 square feet total, you can write off up to 10% of the mortgage interest for your home as a business cost. Similarly, if you rent your home, the percentage of your home used exclusively for business use would also be deductible.

Property taxes paid for your home also qualify at the same percentage rate as the mortgage.

Furthermore, if you own your home, you can depreciate the appropriate share of the home over 39 years.

Note that home expenses not related to your business, such as landscaping costs, cannot be deducted, even if you are beautifying the appearance of your home to enhance its appearance for business purposes.

How Much Total Can You Deduct?

You can deduct at most in home expenses for your home-based business what its net profit is. Thus, if you don’t make much net profit, neither will you be able to deduct many home office expenses. This covers expenses specific to your home itself, such as mortgage/rent and property taxes.

Security

You may deduct the business cost of security devices and monitoring fees as a percentage of the protected area used for business use of the entire protected area (normally the entire home). This is considered an indirect cost of doing business.

Insurance

If you own your home and pay home owner’s insurance, you may deduct a percentage of that expense, as with mortgage or rent expenses. If you have additional insurance coverage that covers things specifically for the business, you may deduct these expenses in full as direct business expenses. This may include special riders on your insurance policy to protect business equipment used exclusively for your business.

Additionally, if you incur a loss that is not covered by insurance, if it is equipment used exclusively for your business, you can deduct the entire loss. If the property lost is for things used both for personal and business use, you may deduct just the percentage of business use.

Utilities

Using the same percentage that you can write off of your home calculated above, you can write off utilities such as electrical, gas, and other utilities as business expenses.

Transportation

If you work primarily out of your home, you can typically write off the transportation expense of getting to and from your clients’ places of business and other business-related transportation costs. For the 2011 tax year, the standard cost per mile that the IRS allows you to deduct is 51 cents per mile for business miles driven

Transportation as a deductible cost is one area where detailed records is critical. Typically, you will want to record the odometer mileage of your car before and after your trip to determine the number of miles traveled. Alternately, if you have places that you often travel to, you can just record the number of miles once and then multiply by the number of trips to determine total mileage This will prove much easier than recording each trip’s mileage

Moving Expenses

If you move, you can deduct the business portion of the move. For example, if half of the items to be moved were business-related, you could deduct 50% of your moving expenses. Note that moving expenses apply to sole proprietors, LLC’s, and S-Corporations only. They do not apply to C corporations.

If you have business-related moving expenses, use form 8829, “Expenses for the Business Use of Your Home” to report them.

Phones and Communications

For a home business, the first phone line into your home is considered by the IRS as a personal expense. Additional phone lines for business use, including cell phones used for your business, are tax deductible. Internet service provider fees or broadband costs such as high speed cable connections are deductible as a percentage of business use to total usage.

Meals and Entertainment

If you take a client or prospective client out to lunch and talk about your business, it is often tax deductible as a cost of doing business. If you are doing business out of town or at your convenience on a business-related task, you can typically deduct the amount of meals. If you are entertaining a client, the expenses related to the meeting are deductible if they have a business purpose.

Meals and Entertainment is one area that is often abused by small businesses, so if you plan to take deductions for these kinds of expenses, be sure to keep receipts. Also keep records of what the money was used for to avoid any kind of legal entanglements later on. As with most business deductions, as long as you stay within the IRS guidelines for what is allowed and keep good records, you can take this deduction safely.

You can only deduct 50% of the cost of meals and entertainment.

Tax Preparation Expenses

Though not specific to home-based businesses, the expenses that you incur to have your tax return itself prepared may be tax deductible.

Also, if you use tax-preparation software to prepare your own business’ tax returns, the cost of the tax preparation software is possibly deductible.

Software

Software used for business purposes are deductible as a business expense. Note that for software packages in excess of $500 in value, you may need to amortize (write off over a period of time) the software over 3 years. If you have purchased software that costs more than $500 per piece of software, consult the IRS guidelines for software deductions.

Educational Expenses

Educational expenses incurred directly to learn industry-specific skills needed for your business are often tax-deductible. For example, if you purchase the Professional Bookkeeper™ course to learn Accounting and Bookkeeping skills to start your business, this expense is tax deductible as a start up cost once your business is underway.

Record Keeping

Many small businesses let themselves get cheated every year by not taking deductions they are legally entitled to on their taxes for fear of being audited. As long as you stay within the IRS guidelines for what is and is not tax deductible and keep receipts and good records, you are safe to take the deductions you are legally entitled to. The Home Office Deduction in particular is a deduction that many have wrongly assumed makes them a target for an IRS audit.

If ever in doubt, go directly to the source, the IRS themselves. They publish many articles defining exactly what deductions you are entitled to so that you can be sure that you are in compliance with the law.

It may be advisable to consult a tax preparer for specific questions regarding what would or would not be deductible, and to what extent. For a thorough understanding of tax preparation for your own business or to prepare taxes for other businesses or individuals, you may want to look into training such as Universal Accounting’s Professional Tax Preparer™ program. For many individuals and businesses, they save more on their taxes over a year or two than they spend on the course itself. Plus, they have the assurance that they are doing their taxes correctly and doing proper tax planning to reduce their tax liability.

A Great Home Business

As illustrated above, running a home business gives many tax advantages and deductions. I persoanlly love my home based business because I am able to help people generate an extra income to simply take the edge off. What ever home business you choose, just choose one so you too can take advantage of the great tax advantages, why not get those hard earned dollars back in your pocket?

Clouds of Egg Nog

As Featured On EzineArticles

Clouds of Egg Nog has been a Family tradition and favorite since as far back as I can remember.

We would always make two batches ~ one for Adults ONLY and the other for the Children. The following recipe is for ADULTS only, however if you would like to make a batch for the kiddies ~ just leave out the alcohol. I recommend that you make sure the cream, eggs and milk are cold when preparing this delightful treat. It is best to prepare this recipe somewhat close to when you expect your guests, however, if time is of the essence you could assemble the first 3 steps but make sure you refrigerate it until you are ready to complete steps four through seven.

Ingredients

12 eggs, separated

1 quart whole milk

1 1/2 quarts heavy cream

3 cups bourbon

1/2 cup dark rum

2 cups cognac

freshly grated nutmeg

1 1/2 cups superfine sugar

punch bowl

Instructions

1. In the punch bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and pale yellow

2. Gradually add sugar to the beaten egg yolks. With a wire whisk,

beat in the milk and 1 quart cream

3. Add bourbon, rum and cognac stirring constantly

4. just before serving, beat egg whites until still peaks are formed

5. fold egg whites into the mixture

6. whip remaining 1/2 quart heavy cream until stiff and fold into mixture

7. sprinkle with fresh ground nutmeg

I hope you enjoy this Family favorite of ours and have a very Joyous Christmas and Happy New Year!

OMG STOP the insanity !

OMG STOP the insanity ! I am serious.

Being a Network Marketer for 5 years, I am considered a newbie in the industry, I have been through the ringer with many opportunities, programs, softwares, etc. and have learned MANY valuable lessons. Thank goodness, I am NOW able to pass on to my team the DO’S and DON’TS on building a successful home based business. I still learn everyday but I know the good from the bad now!

The one pet peeve I have is how so many Network Marketers get sucked into buying this, that and the other thing with the hopes that this is their ticket to big success. Well, I have some news for you that you may NOT want to hear.

Being that I have aligned myself with TOP Leaders, I am always able to pick their brains. Here are 2 questions I have asked them all and they all have the same answer:

1. I asked them “What is your daily, weekly, monthly budget
for advertising?”
and guess what everyone….they ALL said
“I don’t spend a penny”

2. I then asked them all, “Ok, so then what softwares and programs do you use to build your business?”
answer, “Programs? Softwares?, I don’t use any of that stuff, it just complicates reaching the main goal”

Hmmmm, interesting, huh? So, what do you think of those answers? Now, let me ask you a question, “If you have and I am confident you have, purchased, programs, softwares, leads, etc., hows it working out for you?” That’s what I thought.

To me and everyone I spoke to all agreed that the best tool to build your business is……ok now don’t cringe, here it is…..YOUR MOUTH is your best tool. I have been preaching this since forever and its FREE!!! Some of you do not have this problem but some of you need to open your mouth ~“Get comfortable doing the uncomfortable” you will be pleasantly surprised and actually very proud of yourself for accomplishing this what might be a big challenge.

Do NOT try to reinvent the wheel as they say, you are a Network Marketer and that simply means you MUST Network, plain and simple! If someone is rude to you, big CRAP, it just shows their true colors and honestly, would you really want someone like that on your team? Heck no you wouldn’t. You want to work with people YOU resonate well with, it WILL be what builds YOU a successful business.

Now that I have come to the end of my rant, don’t look at your phone as a 500 lb weight or the person you meet in person as the enemy, embrace each and every one with the intentions of being able to help them with their needs.

Women in the workplace

As Featured On EzineArticles

Women in the workplace can be a daily challenge, whether you work for yourself or work for someone, however, it doesn’t have to be. If you are a Women reading this, I may have a solution for you to have some sanity in your busy life :-) .
We, as Women, want the perfect home, perfect meal, perfect smelling laundry, perfect garden, perfectly folded towels, well you have the idea what I am talking about.
Since nothing is really perfect in this world, we do strive to get as close to perfection as possible, after all, don’t we know we have the most beautiful Family in the world? Of course we do !

For the past 31+ years I have for the most part, been a Domestic Engineer and “Stay-At-Home Mom” and I wouldn’t change it for anything [not even a villa in the hills of Tuscany on a vineyard]. For a period of time in the early 90′s, I did own a retail shop with my Parents but basically made my own hours and did a good part of my responsibilities to the business out of my home. During that period, I had to adjust my Family life around the business which took some creative thinking. Once I pretty much mastered this plan, it was for the most part a smooth sailing household. The following simple changes is what I put together that honestly put harmony back into my Family. My exact plan may or may not work for you but it’s a start on where you can harmonize your household:

1. once a week I would spend the day cooking, put on my favorite music and dance/sing my way through the kitchen:
a. make a BIG pot of sauce with meatballs and divide it up into containers and freeze
b. make a few meat loafs and freeze them
c. make a BIG pot of a family favorite soup and divide it up into containers and freeze
d. make a bunch of cupcakes and freeze them (not with frosting though)
e. make a few quiches and freeze
f. make a batch of pancakes, french toast and freeze
g. make a bunch bagel or english muffin pizzas and freeze in ziploc bags

This plan not only saved a lot of money by not having to resort to take out or fast food drive thrus, there was ALWAYS a healthy, homemade meal that anyone in the Family could heat up either for breakfast, lunch or dinner :-)

Why is delegating chores such an issue with us Women? I can honestly say, I liked things done my way, but got over that when I realized not everything has to be perfect. So start delegating, believe me, your Family will not shrivel up and wither away if they have to:

1. vacuum
2. fold some laundry
3. empty and or fill the dishwasher
4. garden work
5. wash the car
6. set the table
7. dust their bedroom furniture
8. if they are old enough, do their own laundry

The list goes on of what can be delegated to your Family so you can actually have a LIFE!

At first they may be combative, whine, cry, call you the meanest Mom in the universe, blah, blah, blah, but once they see that YOU are not a frustrated Mom/Wife and realize they WILL have more quality time with you, they will get with the program. Stick to your newly FAMILY created plan, do NOT cower down and give in just to shut them up, always remember, a happy Mom/Wife has a very, very happy Family!

Putting together a whiteboard of delegated chores with incentives was a charm for me. There were actually some times when, get this, the Children would argue over NOT getting enough chores because they knew the incentives got greater when they did more.

So, do yourself a favor, make meal plans and create a list of DELEGATED chores, it WILL create a sense of normalcy and happiness in your life and most importantly, your Family.

May the force be with you and God speed!

Are YOU Social Media prospecting?

3

Are YOU Social Media prospecting? I would imagine the majority of Network Marketers are, so that got me to thinking. Being that we as Network Marketers have the luxury of working out of our homes, we are online for a good part of the day, right? Right!

Then why are we continually posting our wonderful business opportunity during the day when most Network Marketers are the only ones that are online? We all just keep reverse marketing each other. Yes, there just may be a very small percentage of Network Marketers that will possibly take a look at your primary, so then posting here and there isn’t a bad thing.

The solution I have come up with is simple. Start posting your presentations, webinars, business opportunity, etc. sometime after 7PM. Reason being, if you do your posts a lot earlier, your post will be pushed down especially if the NON Network Marketer has a bunch of friends posting things like:

1. how many eggs they got on their Farm
2. how miserable their day was at their J.O.B.
3. Friend/Family disputes (because we all need to read that)

I honestly believe this could increase your chance of having better results with tapping into your online warm market.

Just for the heck of it, give this idea a try and see if you get a better response other than Network Marketers reversing you. I started doing this last night and I am slowly seeing good results.
